Mobile Menu works properly only if Sub Item are configured in WP Menu

Hello,

I’m testing your plugin in order to create a new visual menu for desktop with a mobile version.
For one item, I want to maintain a structure like this:

HOME
ITEM 1
ITEM 2
ITEM 3
ITEM 4

In order to create the structure into the associate WP Menu, I have created a structure like this:

HOME
– sub menu item (custom link)
ITEM 1 (custom link – DIVI)
ITEM 2 (custom link – DIVI)
ITEM 3 (custom link – DIVI)
ITEM 4 (custom link – DIVI)
– sub menu item (custom link)

These two sub-menu items (custom link) are the elements that let to the desktop version to work in the correct way. If I erase these sub-menu (custom link) the entire desktop version collapse.

Can you help me?

It’s impossible to remove (for instance with display: none) the blank box generate in mobile version because the set CSS for these areas are the same of other parts of the menu.
