    Dear developers,

    I just updated Photonic and renewed the Instagram Access Token via the Photonic WP Plugin successfully. I also copied and pasted the token into the Instagram settings of Photonic.

    But my website always displays “Unknown error” and doesn’t show up my Instagram feed.

    What went wrong?

    Kind regards,
    Johannes25

    This is difficult for me to troubleshoot in this manner, as it is the first time I am coming across this error.

    Can you edit a plugin file and let me know? I can see what the true error is, based on that.

    1. In your WP dashboard, go to Plugins → Plugin Editor, and pick Photonic from the dropdown.
    2. Navigate to the file Modules/Instagram.php
    3. Go to line 161. You will see this:
      if ($response['response']['code'] == 200) {
    4. Before this line, put in:
      print_r($response);
    5. Save the file.

    Once done, let me know, and I can go through the response that Instagram is sending you.

    Hmm… interesting. Can you tell me what shortcode you have in place? Your error says:

    Unsupported get request. Object with ID '1912095625' does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation

    This would point to an invalid shortcode or block.

    I also updated it once more

    Ah… just remove the user_id parameter and you should be good. The user_id should not be needed, and with the move to the new API, the old user ids are not valid any more.

    You might just want to delete the shortcode and create a new one, if you are using the wizard.

    Wow, it works. I just have the problem that I have to double click an opened instagram picture to close it.

    But thank you so much!

    This is happening because your theme is adding a lightbox to all your images by default. You will need to disable that functionality, or work with your theme’s support to specifically disable its lightbox for Photonic galleries. Just like how Photonic’s lightbox is only applicable to Photonic’s galleries, your theme’s lightbox should not target elements that already have a lightbox on them.

    Hello, i have a similar Error: “No data returned. Unknown error” (see on my website: https://pfadfinderbrokstedt.de/fahrtenbuch/). Could you help me please?

    The short code is as follows: [gallery type='instagram' media_id='17866753973054679' embed_type='embed']

    Do you detect any mistake? We use wordpress version 5.5.3.

    Thank you!

    Best Leopold
