How Long Are IP Addresses Cached?

  • If you look at the proxy log you can see the same IP addresses hitting the server many many times, but the API call is only performed once for each unique IP address. How long before the plugin will requery the API to get an updated fraud score for the IP Address?

    It sure would be nice If you could get a list of each unique IP address with a fraud score of XX or above (you input XX) as then the ones that are hitting the server week after week could actually be blacklisted on the network firewall so they don’t even hit the server in the first place.

    IP data is cached for 24 hours. Your account is not charged duplicate credits for any duplicate calls within a 24 hour period.

    On the Advanced Reports page on the user dashboard it is possible to export IPs in certain fraud score ranges, which can then be made into a unique list for blacklisting on a firewall.
