Post Titles Suddently Displaying “&#8211” or &# someting else

  • My titles have been fine for the past few years and I noticed that any titles with characters now have “&#” and some numbers after them.

    For example, if my blog title used to read “Avatar – A Great Movie,” when I do a google search, the result now reads “Avatar – A Great Movie”

    Any idea why this started happening or what I can do to stop it?

    Why are my titles showing up in search results with “&#8211” in them instead of the “-” character? This ugly looking result is a new thing, as it used to always display the character.

    Any ideas?
