Two Questions as to GDPR Compliance
-
Hi,
I have seen your plugin and wonder whether I should try it out.
But I have two questions beforehand:
1. Does it set any cookies? If yes: Which ones, what is their purpose, and how long will it be valid? [Edit: I have seen, you have covered that here, so no further answer necessary.]
2. It seems that the plugin uses IP addresses in its blacklist function
a. Are they stored in any way? Are they being sent outside of the EU? (I have seen that your company is located in Norther Ireland. With Brexit, and considering what is quite likely to happen when the year ends, the U.K. will be totally outside any EU rules as it seems.
b. So: If IP addresses are transmited from the user’s website to somewhere, where will that be?
c. And, if in the EU, how will you be able to guarantee that the UK government will not force you as e.g. the US government can to grant access to IP addresses even though they are stored in the EU?
d. Do you offer a processing agreement to users of the free version, and are you using standard contractual clauses?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
