• Hello,
just installed your plugin to add some missing translation of my theme or to change the incorrect translation. The problem is that the plugin add some unnecessary translation to other words (not requested by me) that completely change the real meaning of the words (also in the backend of the website). Is there a way to add the translation ONLY in the words/sentences selected by me?

    Please, let me know
    Best regards

I think I fully understand this question.

The translations saved to disk will be used. What do you mean by “selected”?

If you dislike words that come back from automatic translation services then either change them, or blank them out before you save your file.

I mean that when I installed the plugin, It translated whatever it can. Every single word that it is able to translate.

Instead I would like to translate ONLY the word that i need to translate (manually translated by me)

For example it translated “save option” button in the wordpress backend with uncorrect words. So now, a lot of parts of the backend of my backend are uncorrectly translated and i ‘m not able to understand the function of this button, element or other

IMHO the plugin has to translate only the words changed by me (manually)

When you install the plugin you have the choice of (1) manually translating whichever strings you like. (2) Using the suggestion feature if you would like to look at automatic translations for an individual string, or (3) auto-translating a whole PO file. There is no option to auto-translate a batch of selected strings.

If you choose (3) to translate a whole PO file it will indeed translate all untranslated strings in the file. If this is the feature you have a problem with then I suggest you make use of the Fuzzy feature. Select to mark auto-translations as Fuzzy and in Loco Translate settings deselect the option to compile Fuzzy strings into MO files. See Plugin settings. This way you can manually review all auto-translated strings and deselect the fuzzy flag on the ones you would like to keep.
