Points cannot be calculated with Rich Answers

From the version 7.1.0 and after,
the result of the right answers is incorrect.

I just tested Points score on the quiz with Rich Answers but everything is working fine on my staging. Please make sure to fulfil the following requirements:

1. Make sure that you are using the ‘Points’ based Grading system for quiz.

2. Use the %POINT_SCORE% template variable to show correct points score on the Results page.

3. Save the Results page template and clear the browser history by pressing Shift+F5.

4. Make sure that you are not using an empty condition on the Results page template. If you have applied some empty condition on the results page, make sure to delete it. Or use the correct condition on the results page.

Also, I did visit the website mentioned above but I was unable to find the 2 different quizzes.

Please do the same and let me know if you still face the issue.

Hi Kriti,

We are experiencing the same problem, running version 7.1.2 on the latest version of WordPress.

We’ve got a new quiz waiting to be released, it has 50 questions. No matter what I do it only ever gives a score of 45/50 even though I know all 50 answers are correct. The list of answers on the results page even states that all 50 answers are correct.

Something strange going on with the scoring.

Can you assist please?

PS. Ours is just a simple multiple choice quiz using the correct / incorrect grading system.

Can you please tell me what variable are you using on the Results page template? So that I can tell you whether they are compatible with correct/incorrect grading system or not.

Hi Kriti,

We are using the below on the results page:

“You got %AMOUNT_CORRECT% question(s) correct out of a possible %TOTAL_QUESTIONS% (%CORRECT_SCORE%%).”

But it’s not just the results page, the actual score recorded in the back end only states 45/50 even though I know it was 50/50.

Are there download links for previous versions of the plugin anywhere as our client is now getting a bit upset as the competition should of launched on Monday as part of a wider commercial deal with a new partner.

I have generated 2 different quizzes for your as a test.

1. mydomain… /quiz/with-text-answers/
2. mydomain… /quiz/with-rich-answers/

The Quiz settings are equal. The quiz with Text Answers works! But the quiz with Rich Answers dont work.

The Problem is: if i use “Rich answers” i get always the same result page with the default template variable %QUESTIONS_ANSWERS%

Although the attitude of the quiz with Text Answers is the same, but it works and i get the correct result page.

I do not use template variables, but the following result page condition:

Total points earned = is equal to =2 ( result page 1)
Total points earned = is equal to =3 ( result page 2)
Total points earned = is equal to =4 ( result page 3)
