• I get this red box message:

This contact form contains file uploading fields, but the temporary folder for the files (/…/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_uploads) does not exist or is not writable. You can create the folder or change its permission manually.

I checked and it seems to be there. I made it 777 writable. I deleted the folder and made it again.

Any ideas of what’s going on and how to fix it?

  • What is the OS of your server and web server application? What version of PHP do you use? WordPress version?

I’m using the current WP 2.9.1

I don’t know the rest…if you can give me an example maybe I can find out.

    I’m using Gate.com

    bump

You can’t upload files now? or you can upload but just seeing the warning message on the admin panel?

It seems that gate.com has both Linux servers and Windows servers. Which one do you use?

    I use Windows.

I can upload files…I want to delete 2 files.

I deleted the 2 from the folder, but the error comes up and on the actual page there are X’s where they used to be.

How am I supposed to delete files correctly?

I’m sorry…I mixed up the last post with a totally different problem I had with a plug in.

The error message is still up and I tested sending and it failed to upload. I’m pretty sure I got it to work before.

I tried fiddling with the temp folder, but nothing seemed to change.
