Can’t arrange products in categories

Hi,
We’re trying to rearrange products within (sub-)categories. But whatever we do, it does not rearrange, it remains how it was before. Also after refreshing the rearrange page it reverts to the order it was.
Almost all our products are assigned to one category, but not yet all of them, is this the reason? The ones we’re trying to rearrange only have one category. We used to use the “Show all products” rearranging feature only, but want to shift to category-based rearranging.
Feature request for category-based arranging: don’t show the products that belong to a subcategory in its mother category to make the page load quicker and have a better overview.
