    Hey,

We’ve installed WooCommerce, but always getting this error when trying to connect Facebook to it: “Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!”.

Every step seem to work fine until the last step. Please help.

  • Hey Support,

I am having the same issue. Kindly check the screenshot.
    https://prnt.sc/ue2arp

Same problem. Facebook tells me? thats all is ok, WooCommerce dont whant to work

    Facebook ok here
    WooCommerce bad here

+1 on the issue (exactly same as others). Facebook says not their problem (typical).

    1) The page is managed through a business profile, and the business manager
    2) Me (the user trying to connect) is authorized to post for and as the page, and all permissions are set to allow this (in theory)

Thanks so much for the helpful screenshots and information!

Per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic?

As we quite often see issues that look similar in nature but have very different underlying causes. A topic per user helps us focus on your specific issue to get to the root cause for you quicker!

    Hi @gorilclub,

Thanks for getting in touch about our Facebook plugin! I’m sorry to hear that the connection isn’t working as expected. I’m happy to help out here ??

I’ve got a couple of questions for you that’ll help me better understand what’s going in your situation here.

Is this your first time installing the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin or is this happening from an update?

    Thanks,
    Christine

    Hey @christineskyverge

It’s the same from the beginning. When I installed WooCommerce, it urged me to connect Facebook and I tried, got the same result. I looked up the internet and tried reinstalling the extension, still does not work for me. The version is 2.0.1 I think.

    Hi @gorilclub

Thanks so much for the update!

We are working closely with the Facebook team to identify the cause of the “Something went wrong” error that you’re running into.

To further investigate this, would you please reach out to our support team through our site sharing the email address you use for your Facebook account, along with your Business Manager ID?

Then, the Facebook team can take a look at the logs and determine why your attempts to connect are failing.

You could get in touch with us directly here: https://www.skyverge.com/contact/

If you need help finding your Business Manager ID, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Business Manager page.
    2. Select the business you want to connect to.
    3. Check the URL – you should see a business_id value there.

Could you please include your forum username in the email also? So we could connect the email to your thread here.

    Thanks!
    Christine

I also have a problem with integration. Plugin version 2.2.0
I removed Polish characters from the page name. I still get the message that something went wrong. Please help.

I have the same issue. Just plain letters in the FB title (raydesignSE), latest FB plug-in (Version 2.2.0). Facebook process ends saying everything’s good to go, then I get the above woo error message.

So thing what helped me is to enable rights for woocommerce to edit business account.

@christineskyverge thank you, my problem is fixed!
“1. Go to the Business Manager page.
    2. Select the business you want to connect to.
    3. Manage the roles and permissions”

Hi guys, I was having the same problem, now I solved it.
There is some small info that is not tick https://i.imgur.com/E6HtubA.png

Take a look at that picture, just enable it. your a good to go.

This usually happen if you change to a new business manager (Most probably your previous business manager has been banned by facebook.)

Let me know if this worked.

Thanks a lot, ace55. It works fine ! Just for info, it’s during the plugin setting, not on the FB page.

@ace55 you made my day! After more than one hour I found your hint. That works for me!
Thank you and a wonderful good 2021
