Yes, I understand that. That’s the problem. I don’t know how to resolve it. feed-rss2.php looks fine on my end, I see no errors. But I’m not the most savvy PHP/rss guy out there.

I’ve deactivated all plug-ins and still get this message from feedburner:

XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity
    Location: https://maryburgess.com/feed/rss/
    Line Number 1, Column 2: <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><!– generator=”WordPress/2.9.1″ –>
    -^

    Ideas?

OK, I closed the ending tag ?> in pluggable.php, now the stream seems to work, although I get this message as a suggestion from feedburner (and I have no idea how to correct the syntax:

This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

Any ideas? Thanks for all the help guys!

I’m new to WordPress and we are having problems with the RSS feed as well. We’re running WordPress 2.9.1. Feed Validator says that we have an XML problem. I really don’t see anywhere in the Dashboard where I can adjust RSS feed settings. Is there a PHP file that I can edit? If so, what changes do I need to make? Here is our website pocketstop.com. I’m trying to setup Feed Burner. Thanks, Brian

Try deleting the blank lines at the beginning of your code.
