Images being served from i2.wp : accelerator is off

Some of the Jetpack modules, like Tiled Galleries or Related Posts, rely on the Site Accelerator service to resize your images on the fly. This happens even when the Site Accelerator module is deactivated.
If this happens only on your old posts, it may be that you’ve created them using some features that depend on it.

how do I force reset / cache of these images?
These 4 pages as far as I can tell are still serving old JPEGs (Webp has been updated)

The best way to force that is to simply re-upload them with new file names.

We can also clear the images manually, but we will need to know the specific CDN URL of each image you want us to clear.

I disabled all the Jetpack extra modules. Will that stop the CDN caching on wp.com?

I have purged those images as requested.

If you are no longer using Photon, Tiled Galleries, and Related Posts, the Photon CDN will no longer be used on your site.

I am not using any of these features. I have the accelerator switched off in Settings, but my JPEGs are still being served off i2.wp.com

How do I stop this from happening?

Please give us a URL to a post or page on your site where the images are still being served from our CDN.

You will have to open in non-Webp browser like Safari, so it loads JPEG (Chrome, Firefox load webp images).

See first image. It loads:

Yeah, that’s definitely our CDN. Are you absolutely sure you have “Enable site accelerator” switched off?

If so, please try deleting the image and re-adding it with a new image block.

Under Settings -> Performance, Enable Site accelerator is off, and both the switches are off (Speed up image .., speed up static ..). any other setting?

no, I am using Media replace plugin from Shortpixel to replace the images without changing the filename (to maintain SEO).

Ok, let’s just rule that out please by removing the image from the post (you don’t need to delete the uploaded original), then add a new one with a new file name to the post.

All the images on that post are now served directly from https://spicecravings.com/wp-content/uploads/, for example, https://spicecravings.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Bombay-Masala-Toast-2.webp.

If you have removed the images from the posts and re-added them, you’ll want to do the same on the rest of the posts.
