• I installed and activated the ‘Template’ Add-On for the ‘WPP RSS Aggregator’ theme. There is a default template. I created a templated called ‘My Template’ from the default template. I click on ‘Edit’ to update the ‘My Template’ with a ‘Template Type’ value of ‘Grid’. I click on ‘Preview’ and it’s what I want. It has the thumbnail image with my posts. And so I now click ‘Save’.

I now want WordPress to use ‘My Template’ when it shows my ‘Posts’ on my website. But where do I set that option? How does it know whether to use ‘Default’ template or ‘My Template’?

If I select ‘My Template’ checkbox, I expect to see a ‘Save’ but there is no ‘Save’ option.

Sorry for the late reply. Have you found a solution yet? You cannot select various templates for posts within the WP user interface, only for pages. In the page editor, the selected page template gets saved when you save the page. (the page template selection field only appears when the theme has more than one page template to select from)

That said, you can get a specific template be used for a specific post by naming it a certain way. See https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/#single-post
