[Modularity Lite] Questions on fixing things

I’m having problems and I’m trying to figure them out. I’m on IE 7 (I believe) and it works perfectly in Compatability Mode and gets out of whack if not in CM. I’m a noob, so I’m still figuring things out.

Hopefully you’ll be able to see the difference. Again, it’s working in Compatability mode, so that’s how I want it to look. If you turn CM off (broken paper icon to the right of the address bar) You’ll see that everything is shifted to the left and the middle area is up into the Masthead area.

Can someone help me please? I may have a couple other questions.
