I prefer the wordpress classic editor for post writing, but for the past few weeks whether it is new, or old posts they come up as “double red” on the Yoast SEO ratings. Is there a fix I could use so I can use the classic post editor with Yoast?

    Hello @zoedidthat,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin! Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

    Hiya
I used other posts to check the plugin conflicts and it is when classic editor is on that Yoast doesn’t register any words and makes all posts double red – if you enter them. I have tried 3 different plugins.

I’ve also encountered this issue. It loads when I use the block editor but not the classic editor. Both plugins are up-to-date.

@huddle Have you performed a conflict check? Can you share if you found a conflicting plugin?

    Mine were :
    classic editor
    classic editor plus
    disable gutenburg

    Hi @zoedidthat,

    Thanks for that information.

Can you make sure that WordPress, all your plugins, and all your themes are all updated? Does updating solve the problem?

Also, can you send us links to screenshots that show where the problem is happening? You can upload screenshots to an image sharing site like snipboard.io or something similar and include the image URL in your reply.

Yoast SEO is compatible with the Classic Editor as well as the Gutenberg block editor. Does the problem still appear if you only have Yoast SEO and the Classic Editor plugin activated?
