Can I create a custom folder with images in the Uploads folder?

  • I currently have a folder with marketing images that I host in the root of the WordPress installation, but I was wondering if I can move the folder to the “uploads” folder. Is it recommended to use the uploads folders to hosts other folder with images and other files and now just wordpress posts images?

  • As long as you take into account the present links to the images and repair those as need if you move a currently inuse image.
