    Hi MailPoet-Team,

    first of all: what a great plugin! I use it to send newsletters at my project.

    Also everything works fine except one thing:

    A user registrates to my newsletter via a subscription form. Also he gets his confirmation mail and after clicking on the link inside the mail, he receives the welcome mail (double opt-in).

    But if a user registrates a second time via the same subscription form with the same e-mail address, he only receives the comfirmation mail. If he then clicks on the link inside the mail no welcome mail is sent to him.

    So my questions are:

    Why isn’t the welcome e-mail sent again to him?
    If it is not possible to send the welcome e-mail to the user a second time, is it possible to show him somewhere a message like “You already regsitrated to this newsletter”?

    I hope you can help me out with that!

    Thanks for writing. ?Yes, this is the correct behavior for the plugin. Current, Welcome Emails are only sent when:

    • A visitor subscribes to a list via a subscription form on the website;
    • An admin edits a single subscriber and manually adds him to a list;
    • A third party adds subscribers via the API.

    Since the user was already a subscriber, they will not receive the Welcome Email. It’s usually rare to have users signup to a newsletter more than once and expect to get the Welcome Email again. Unfortunately we do not have the option to inform the user that they’re already subscribed to a newsletter.
