Unable to enter “text” editing mode and other bugs

I just upgraded to 5.5.1 and I’m having a similar, but opposite problem–“text” works fine, but clicking on “visual” does nothing. Also can’t open “screen options” or “help” tabs. So, I’m guessing a tab issue in general?

Very strange. I can successfully open the “screen options” and “help” tabs. It’s rather frustrating not being able to reliably save drafts, preview them before posting, and go into the “text” tabs. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be not to have access to the “visual” tab. Hopefully, we find solutions sooner than later.

Thanks @visualworker002 for the recommended plugin. I installed it and everything works properly now.

I am, however, getting warnings such as:

themes/HighendWP/options-framework/public/js/vendor/jquery.tipsy.js: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated

For now, everything works, but I wonder how long I can get away with this fix. Hopefully, it will last a long time! It is most likely a problem with my theme, so I will try to contact those developers.

I, too, had this problem. The javascript plugin did not solve it. But disabling the Amazon Associates Link Builder fixed the problem. Something to add to the kb.

@tonylima Good find…that fixed it for me too and it’s good to turn off AA as it’s no longer functioning.
