Image doesnot get deleted while deleting media from wordpress media

May I ask you to share the information you have on the Sync Media tab of the Cloudinary plugin, especially:

• If Auto-Sync is ON
• If you set a Cloudinary Storage Path and if yes, did you recently change this setting.

I have been able to reproduce the issue with the v2.1.9. However, I haven’t been able to reproduce it with the v2.2.0.

May I ask you to update to the last version of our plugin and let me know if it works for you?

I have updated the plugin to version – 2.2.0.

The Auto upload to cloudinary has stopped and even the deletion issue is not resolved for me.

I have found some successful deletions of the image named banner-img performed in the last 7 days. However, I can see that there are 2 other identical images in your account:

• https://res.cloudinary.com/ds2yzu16u/image/upload/v1600855397/banner-img_ts6ufn.jpg
• https://res.cloudinary.com/ds2yzu16u/image/upload/v1592323165/banner-img_cuqbu7.jpg

Do you mind sharing how did you upload those images? Do you also have those 2 copies still in your Media Library?

Hi @loiccloudinary ,

From the Cloudinary dashboard, the deletion is successful.

If We delete the images from the WordPress dashboard the image is still seen in our Cloudinary dashboard. Images does not get deleted from Cloudinary Media dashboard.

Do me know if you are not able to reproduce the issue.

As mentioned in the support ticket, the v2.4.0 recently released fixes the issue.
We also have other customers reporting the deletion is now working properly.

For this reason, I will close the ticket.

I am facing the issue adain.

When I am deleting the image from WordPress it works fine But when I delete the image from Cloudinary the image did not get deleted in WordPress admin.

Can you please look into it again.

Thanks for getting back to me.

This is the expected behavior, if you delete images in WordPress, they will be deleted in Cloudinary, but if you delete anything in Cloudinary, they won’t be deleted in WordPress.
