On an event page, default mode, it previously showed info on the side like location, speaker info, next event preview, etc. Now, all of that has been replaced by generic WordPress blog links like Recent Comments, Archives, Categories. Is this a known issue or unique to us?

We are on the latest version of Modern Events Calendar Lite, latest WordPress, and using the Gardenia theme. I can also send an export of our calendar settings if it helps troubleshoot. Applicable URLs can also be sent to a support email if you have one.

  • We have problems on mobile css after last update. Wrapper breaks site and in monthly view there is a round circle shifted from is position.

I tried rolling back to a few previous versions of this plugin, but the issue seems to persist, making me think it could be something that changed in WP 5.5.1.

    Hi all,

Please explain your issue, include screenshots, URLs, and any other document so we can understand and check it better.

Maybe this link can help you: https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/single-events-sidebar/

Thanks. That link helped resolve the issue. Although the original cause is still unknown and so far only potentially attributable to a plugin update enabling something that wasn’t before, I went into the WP dashboard under Appearance -> Widgets, and I saw there was suddenly now an MEC Single Sidebar widget enabled with all of the WP blog categories visible, like searching, recent posts, categories, etc. I had to delete every single one of them before the desired sidebar appeared, containing event info like Date, Time, Location, Speaker, etc.

Marking resolved since it technically is, but I don’t like that what caused it is still unknown since I’m the only one with access. And the only thing I’ve done for weeks is update this one plugin.

    Hi @bufori,

Okay, actually, this is about the old version of MEC, we would have displayed a default sidebar widget if we hadn’t got the sidebar. We removed it so all users set what they need.

    Best Regards
