One thing I really like about Subscribe2 is that I can turn off emailing subscribers with new post notifications on a post-by-post basis.

I have been unable to find such a feature for the free version of MailPoet 3.

I suppose if the feature isn’t available, the only way to accomplish the effect is to deactivate the plugin each time I want to post something I don’t want notifications sent for. Then reactivate the plugin after posting.

So…am I just missing the feature?

    Thanks,
    Mark

  • Hello @markroth,

Thanks for writing. You can limit the Post Notifications to only send what a Post uses a specific Category or Tag. That may work to distinguish which posts you want sent as a notification. See Ref: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/329-automatic-latest-content-widget

    Thank you for your reply.

Yeah, I know about limiting notifications by tag or category. That’s not what I’m talking about, though.

Subscribe2 has a field on a post’s page (on the admin side, of course) which is unchecked by default. When selected, nobody is notified of the post.

Most of the time, I want to let subscribers know of new material. Sometimes, though, I don’t. Does MailPoet not provide this option like Subscribe2 does?

    Thanks again,
    Mark
