Depends on your configuration. We do block Adsense and DoubleClick, and in combination with Ad Inserter or Advanced Ads configurations, this can be resolved. With a manual implementation, it might need some extra coding.

The reason for the error is a switch to TCF v2.0, a consent framework that is adopted by Google specifically for advertising. You can learn more about it here: https://complianz.io/tcf-for-wordpress/

I have several websites, in some of them, the ads are inserted on the theme.

Right now I have Complianz – GDPR / CCPA Cookie Consent and adsense is blocked until the user accepts. It is not enough?

The Adsense crawler is a bit slower than the usual Google Bot. Please come back a week from now to see if the error persists. Could you tell me which theme, maybe I can check as well.

I understand what you say but I don’t know how to do the “extra coding” you say.

Sure, I have on Jarida theme (https://themeforest.net/item/jarida-responsive-wordpress-news-magazine-blog/4309191) and on Megazine Theme (https://themeforest.net/item/megazine-responsive-wordpress-theme/2941136).

I have noticed dozens of sites, at least the Portuguese ones, and very few are working correctly, with the privacy popup blocking adsense first.

I had quantcast installed but adsense advertising was not being blocked, and I noticed that on many other sites the same thing happens.

With Google Ads / Doubleclick integration enabled, and the website loaded as first visitor, for example via Incognito mode.

Do you find any scripts in your page source containing ‘adsbygoogle’, and if so could you paste the full script here (including script tags).

Error 2.1.a is a pretty tricky error because it forces many people to change the implementation of Adsense, not necessarily because of consent banners.

Hi, can you explain better why we should need to implement that tcf integration?
What it is supposed to do? Is it necessary if we only have adsense as advertising circuit?
If I don’t implement it, I will see a drop in earnings?
If I buy this integration, what it will do? is it a way to integrate with platform like Quantcast or Clickio? Or it means that Complianz will act the same way as quantcast or clickio?

I’ve read it, but I don’t understant if is it necessary if we use only Adsense, or it is necessary only for those who have multiple circuit network (for example adsense, criteo, etc).
