I understand how to upload a theme to my FTP, I have many themes, but I activated a bad theme. I need to know if I can edit some type of settings, so I can go back to one of my working themes. I need to be able to edit the setting from my FTP, because my site is a white screen.

you can rename the theme folder or download it and delete it from the server
this will activate the default theme

i am having a similar problem, and deleting the bad theme did not activate the default theme. can anyone tell me which of the php files actually indicate the theme?

i’ve already done all the restoring steps — wordpress, the theme, the database. my site will not load, not the front end nor the admin panel.

any suggestions on where to look for the root of the problem would be appreciated.
