• I updated and the message “OMGF is ready to optimize your Google Fonts. Start optimization” seems to be not going away even though I click and try to do the optimization and it comes back saying “No Google Fonts found to optimize. Empty the Cache Directory to start over. Or Upgrade to OMGF Pro to capture requests throughout the entire HTML document.” And I do empty the cache, and it comes back saying “OMGF is ready to optimize your Google Fonts. Start optimization.Cache directory successfully emptied.” And I click to optimize again, and again the message comes “No Google Fonts found to optimize. Empty the Cache Directory to start over. Or Upgrade to OMGF Pro to capture requests throughout the entire HTML document.” So, here we go again, another loop to to go through and begin from the start (start reading the paragraph again). I certainly hope this is not another case of upgrades ruining a nice plugin that seemed to work (and perhaps it still is working!?), but now with a perpetual message that leads to “upgrade.” Not sure if this latter is the whole point of why I have now updated the plugin perhaps 3 -4 times in 24 hours and it is still leading me to the same message. What is going on? My system and wp is fine and in good health.

    Hi!

Yes, I’m aware of this issue. And no, my point of the update wasn’t to force everyone to upgrade to pro.

There’s an annoying glitch which causes the notice to not disappear. I’m working on it as we speak.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

No problem. Thanks for your reply. You put a lot of your mind and heart and time in your two plugins. They are nice, simple, yet powerful and helpful plugins. I hope you find the solution. I take back worrying about the intention for upgrading being behind this and apologize on my part.

Woocommerce upgrades have had this problem of their messages not going away. Some problem with their use of notice crons. I am not knowledgeable but this sounds similar, except that it returns back to the start optimization link. Re. Woocommerce I have to go and change a database action to get rid of the message.
