[field url] does not work inside <a href=

Feature request:

It has already been mentioned) that [field url] does not work inside <a href="[field url]"> in some themes, and some workaround have been offered.

For simplicity, could I suggest a parameter to [field url] that will output the opening <a href ..> tag too, eg.

[field url output=href] displays <a href="url">

[field link] works only where the link text is minimal (I want to include <divs> <img> etc. but it could also be amended to not close, eg.

[field link noclose] displays <a href="url">
