Hi there, I am setting up W3 total cache right now, and I am trying to work on minifying my js files. Before I describe my problem, I just want to be sure I am using this plugin correctly. In the minify settings tab, I have added all of the js files which I want to be loaded minified throughout my site. I’ve selected whether or not I want it in the header or footer, and chose the option with “non-blocking” (I don’t know the difference either way). Am I using this plugin correctly so far?

However, when I try load my site, none of the js I referenced in the minify settings page are loaded, and I get the following error in the firebug console:

w3tc_load_js is not defined

I’m not quite sure what’s going on, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know.

Use blocking embedding for JS unless you have a specific reason not to. I looked at your source, please paste in the URIs for the objects so I can see what you have set up.

Things look better, doesn’t look like your DB cache is working. Can you look in wp-content/w3tc/dbcache/ and see if there are directories inside?

nope, no directories in there – i think it may have looked better only because I turned of Minify for JS last night, it’s been back on since then I’m still getting the same error.

For now there are some improvements that will be made non-blocking embed in the next release.

Having the exact same problem. My minified CSS and pages are saving properly, but the js and databases will not save. https://thresholdstl.com

Which problem? The topic is not related to what was actually discussed here. It looks like your server is underpowered to do DB caching by disk. As for files not saving, make sure that you have the minify settings enabled and proper permissions set.
