Warning! wp-cron.php not found!

    I have installed WP Super Cache because my website is running EXTREMELY slow. Each page load is about 30 seconds (using Divi as a theme builder). The error I’m getting, straight when just opening WP Super Cache, is:

    Warning! wp-cron.php not found!
    Unfortunately, WordPress cannot find the file wp-cron.php. This script is required for the correct operation of garbage collection by this plugin, WordPress scheduled posts as well as other critical activities.

    Please see entry 16 in the Troubleshooting section of the readme.txt

    Now, I’ve checked the readme and am not using 127.0.0.1 in the hosts file.

    I have also checked through FTP that the wp-cron.php is available in the public_html-folder. Still, I am receiving this error.

    Any ideas?

  • Do other jobs work on your site? Can you schedule a post and have it publish at a certain time? The plugin looks for get_option( 'siteurl' ) . '/wp-cron.php so maybe your site can’t load itself?
