I had our bilingual WP website built years ago in 2014 ,the site has been dormant for a while , buton getting my feet wet with WP , I believe that the person I hired (who I have no contact with now ), may have deliberately hid the source HP and CSS from me ..some images were hosted on his website and I can see his links when I dig around only 2 links remain now …Ive since started to learn WP..and wondering if I can recover the CSS and or PHP from what is there and repair it …and upgrade it
I just cant find where its all hiding or if it was all manipulated so I couldnt take back control.. Ive recently added SSL and upgraded php …but right now Im stumped and wonder if its easy enough to recover or should I trash it and build a new site ?
Is there a plugin that shows the hidden files or could help me restore … any help would be most welcome . Thanks Oog

I see 4 errors in the browser console:

?img_logo.jpg:1 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
jp.png:1 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
xxx.gif:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()
img_global_en.jpg:1 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

The missing files, that you need to replace, are

“Better SEARCH and replace”, not “Better Find and Replace”.
