Just wanted to add and confirm that site kit and this plug in has issues. Things stop counting when site kit is activated!

    Hi there,

WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration does not declare support for https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/google-site-kit/ – I would not expect them to work together out of the box unless https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/google-site-kit/ declares support for WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration.

    Kind regards,

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Kind regards,

Ok so is it better to remove the site kite analytics part , or disable the whole plugin?

    Hi there,

We have several reports of Google Site Kit incompatibility with Google Analytics. I highly recommend using only one of them.

    Hey @ohrn @iraton

As a note – you can use both if you uncheck Enable Standard Tracking in the settings – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/google-analytics-integration/#tracking-options

Enable Standard Tracking: Check this box to add basic website tracking. This is needed if WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration is the only Google Analytics plugin on your site. If you are using another Google Analytics plugin for your site, leave this box unchecked.

    Thanks,

    Hey @dougaitken

that is exactly how i had it, unchecked enable standard tracking (standard to be done by sitekit)

The problem is when both are enabled as mentioned, sales stop counting unless this was recently fixed?

    reproduced on all my sites.

This plugin (unchecked enable standard tracking) + site kit, no sales count
this plugin (checked standard tracking) + DISABLED site kit, sales do count.

is very easy to reproduce. While support is not declared, standard tracking (site kit or any other) shouldn’t have a conflict with this plug in but who knows.

Maybe gtags supersedes any previous analytics script not using gtags?

    Hey @iraton

Thanks for detailing this out here!

Maybe gtags supersedes any previous analytics script not using gtags?

I think you’ve hit on an important detail here – Google Analytics 4 was recently released/announced and as part of that, Google Analytics 4 properties use gtag.js for tracking code, our plugin uses analytics.js.

I’m going to do some testing of this over the next few days (to allow time for data to update correctly) and I’ll get back to you early next week if that is okay.

For reference, I recently opened an Issue for our developers to look into this more – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-google-analytics-integration/issues/173

    Hey @iraton

I’m still working on this but in some of my tests I didn’t keep track of the combination of plugins and browsers but I think you’re correct here that Site Kit and our GA integration plugin aren’t compatible.

I will reply next week to confirm my suspicions with the data.
