I just bought Pro version, and am hoping you guys can add the ability for the video to start pre-loading (buffering) when you land on the page with the video.
“Plyr” does have this feature (the base code you’re using).
Currently, when you land on a page with your video nothing is loaded until you click the Play button, which then it usually plays for 1-2 seconds, then pauses because it needs to start loading the video. It really kills the seamless look to it.
I’m hoping I can have it start loading/buffering the video when they land on the page, then when they click play there will be no need for it to pause to start loading again.

Here are two examples of Plyr showing preloading working fine:

    Thanks for all your work.
    Cheers.

    Hello @empireprotege
Please keep Preload: Auto in the player configuration screen to achieve the goal.
There are a preload option in player configuration screen.
    Preload
Auto – Browser should load the entire file when the page loads.
Metadata – Browser should load only metadata when the page loads.
None – Browser should NOT load the file when the page loads.

    Thanks for the reply.
After testing all 3 options, “Auto” and “None” both don’t preload the video.
I had to select “Metadata” to have it work and preload.
So the configuration is not correct.

    Thanks.

    Hello @empireprotege
Please download the latest version of Html5 Video Player (1.6.2) from gumroad. We have fixed the preload issue in the latest version. You can follow the same download link you already received after the purchase.
Before installing the pro you must deactivate and delete the previous install of the plugin.
Please let me know if you still need any help.
    Thanks
