I had a simple – buy me a coffee form in my footer – it was working fine. It disappeared. So putting it back in a footer widget (exactly as before) results in all of the code for the form being displayed – not the actual form.

I can’t show it on a page because it is a mess.

    Hi @1503wmike,

Do you know when the issue started happening, did you update your theme or plugins around that time?

Do you have a backup of the site while it was working and could you restore that on a staging site and then update the plugins/themes one by one until the issue happens again which should tell us if the updates were the issue indeed?

Or could you perform a conflict test by disabling your other plugins and switching to default WP theme to see if the form is rendered properly after that?
If it does, enable them back one by one until the issue is back and that should tell us where the conflict is so we can debug it further from there.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

Seems to be a conflict with my themify theme +udraft +forminator +any seo plugin.

My updraft is disabled (so no scheduled backups, not ideal). Form in footer working.

Like them of course, to work together – they used too with no problems.

    Hi @1503wmike

I checked on my end the updraft + Forminator but it worked just fine.

Do you have any integration on the updraft and Forminator, for example, the Google Drive on updraft and any integration on the Forminator?

Could you verify if you get any debug log on your website when the updraft is enabled?

Debug mode guide is found on:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/debugging-wordpress-how-to-use-wp_debug/

Let us know the result you got.

Still stuck with this. I have two sites – both with the same theme and plugins. One is working fine – the other is not. firstintheq.co.uk works fine with forminator and updraft enabled.

thecaninebehaviourist.co.uk does not work with forminator and updraft enabled. You can see the problem here – https://thecaninebehaviourist.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/footerUpraftActive.png

Not sure what else to do. I have reinstalled both sites – the problem persists.

Just tried rolling back the plugins – still issues. this time I tried disabling forminator – that worked, updraft now worked. Bizzare. With forminator enabled:

‘To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.5.1
Current theme: Themify Ultra (version 5.0.2)
    Current plugin: Forminator (version 1.12.1.1)
    PHP version 7.2.31

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 3 of the file /home/sites/wrightplace.co.uk/public_html/thecaninebehaviourist.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/forminator/library/calculator/symbol/class-loader.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/sites/wrightplace.co.uk/public_html/thecaninebehaviourist.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/forminator/library/calculator/symbol/abstract/abstract-class.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear72:/usr/share/php’)

My hosting provider tells me they have pear7 installed not 72. However, both these sites are on the SAME server – one working, one not.

Apparently – the path to pear should be ‘include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear7:/usr/share/php’)’

However, I still can’t see why forminator is working with updraft on one site and not the other – BOTH on the SAME server.

    Hi @mike1503

    Thanks for response!

I must admit I didn’t come come across such issue before and it’s indeed strange that one one site on the same server it works while on the other one there’s an issue. It would suggest that there’s still some important difference between these two sites that we are all missing.

However, you mentioned that you tested with Updrafte enabled/disabled and what about theme? It’s a premium theme that I don’t have access to – to test it on my end – but have you tried switching it to Twenty Twenty for a moment, just for testing? Is the same issue happening then?

Are there any differences in these site’s configuration that you can think of? Any differences whatsoever, even if they don’t seem relevant?

    Best regards,
    Adam

No. I’ve tried disabling, re-enabling plugins – problem still remains.

    Hello @mike1503

Would it be possible for you to create a staging site on the same server and proceed with a full conflict test, including changing theme to a default one?

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris
