    dear Roland,

topic of this post: complaints: wp_session_manager_start_session() and other errors too

first of all; many many thanks for the great project and the superb plugin – i really like it! It is one of the best plugin out there.

after having reworked on the server-hardware i set back the server live some weeks later. now i have errors see below.

guess that this has to do with the newer releases…

see the history of wp versions.

    5.5.1 23. September 2020 zip
    5.5 1. September 2020 zip

    5.4-branch
    5.4.2 2. August 2020 zip

well i have running the version 5.4.2

    see the errors and complaining

Well – what do you suggest: should i first upgrade the versions to the newest version!?
again – we did not change any thing in the software of the server – we only changed the hardware…

look forward to hear from you

    regards

I suggest you update to the latest version of both WordPress and Participants Database. You will be way better off in the long run if the problem is solved using current releases.

The function in the error message is from an older version of Participants Database, so that should be updated.

Another possibility is the server is using some kind of object cache. If so, you will need to clear that any time you perform a plugin, theme, or WP update.

hello dear Roland, hello daear all

    after updating i have a empty-response

note; ihave updated to the newest version 5-5-1 and
also updated the participantds-db to the newest version!?

what i get back (on two sites ) is the following

    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

note: this is not (!!!) new. i remember that this error was hitting the server some months ago.

i will digg deeper and will have a closer look what is going on …

i ll keep you posted & informed.
