    Hello
I generated a file following your tutorials but it is filled with web source code.
I have already tried another plugin (yours is more practical :)) but I already had the same problem. When generating the Xml it imports web structure data (such as
    button_one_border_color__hover_enabled = “off” button_one_border_color__hover = “null” button_two_border_color__hover_enabled = “off” button_two_border_color__hover = “null” button_border_radius__hover_enabled = “on 2 “__order_border_border_enabled =” on 2 “__order_border_border_enabled = “on 2 “__order_border_border_enabled =” on 2 ”
    Etc …
So when I upload it to Google Merchant Center, it rejects it for “Item too big” (it takes the code for items I think)

Is there a (simple) way to “clean” the xml file from the code? or to generate in another format?
I am on DIVI (up to date), Woocommerce (up to date)

    thanks in advance

Hi @dragondefeu76 , can you provide me with the feed link?

    Thanks.

    Yes : https://editionslalchimiste.com/wp-content/uploads/rex-feed/feed-48716.xml
At the same time, I managed to connect with OAuth (thanks for tutorial!)
Do I send to Google or code errors will also be sent with?

Hi, did you use shortcodes to input product descriptions on your WooCommerce Products?

Also, do you have any short description for your products added?

    Thread Starter dragondefeu76

    (@dragondefeu76)

Yes, I use the short (and long too) descriptions for the book summary (so some text)
I don’t think I’m using a shortcode, no. But I use DIVI Engine’s Body Commerce on the other hand, but I don’t think it uses short code.
By the way, I tried to send the file directly to GMC via the button now active (thanks to OAuth) but it was refused by putting this message
“Feed not sent to google. Please check.
    invalid: [target.includedDestination] Shopping ”

Hi, did you follow these steps when setting up your Google Merchant Account?

Sometimes that error triggers if certain details in Google Merchant Center is incomplete. However, there is no clear response from Google API as to when that error is triggered.

Alternatively, you can use the reverse method to submit the feed.

Here are the guides to the reverse method:

A couple of months ago Google API had a few changes. Now it often works for many sites, but again doesn’t work for many. So The reverse method is the only alternative option.

We are researching the matter and hopefully, we will find positive answers soon.

For the description, when generating the feed can you try changing the value to product short description? (see image)

    Do let me know.

    Thanks.

    Thank you for the reply.

Yes I followed those steps and your video to connect GMC and my web site. In fact they are fully connected with the token/OAuth.
But I don’t know why the file can’t be sent in this case.

For the description : It seems that you are right. I have changed “descrption” into “short description” and it works.

but now I have refused products and I don’t know why. It seems that this only concerns some of the variations.

Hi, can you send me the screenshots of the errors Google reported?

You will find it in the Diagnostics > Feed Issues in Google Merchant Center.

Let me take a look, then I can guide you.

    Thanks.

I am chatting with google and the say that I have to wait for processing…

Hi, if you are selling books, you need to submit an ISBN number or equivalent as GTIN. (see image)

You may save your product ISBNs on custom fields and then use them as the value for GTIN attribute when generating the feed.

    Thanks.

    Thread Starter dragondefeu76

    (@dragondefeu76)

Ok thank you, this is a good idea. But I can’t find ISBN in “value”.
    see here https://prnt.sc/uvz92j

That is what you mean : I need to use custome fields (wich is “personnalized field”?). Or you mean in the product itself ? So I have to modify every products I have and add ISBN13 in a custom field to use it after, in GTIN field of the file to export ?

In the mean time, Google has accepted all my produits but with restrictions, I do think that the missing ISBN is the problem for the referencement.

    (@sultan00rextheme)

Hi, in that case, you can share what restrictions Google has put on the accepted products, and I may be able to let you know what to do regarding that.

And if you do want to include ISBN, then you can use custom fields from WooCommerce or create custom fields on your own for every product. Since ISBN is unique for every product, the custom field has to be within each product.

After you create that, the field name will appear in the value list when generating the feed.

    Thanks.

    Thread Starter dragondefeu76

    (@dragondefeu76)

    Ok thank you very much.

Here what they say on Google (most of the product display that and some are completly refused )
    https://prnt.sc/uvzlmm

To add ISBN on every product seems to be complex. And I have variables products.

But I have one idea : do you think that I can use “UGS” (I don’t know how to say it in english)? see here what I’m talking about https://prnt.sc/uvzodj

    Thread Starter dragondefeu76

    (@dragondefeu76)

    UGS = SKU in english

    Thread Starter dragondefeu76

    (@dragondefeu76)

I ran a test on one book.

I already have the plugin BODYCOMMERCE, so I can add custom field and add the EAN (ISBN 13) (see here https://prnt.sc/uw0avs)
but when I go to my dashboard an try to add an new product feed (with only this product test) I can not find this choice in my dropdown menu.

So I thought I have to choose the template of Body Commerce and select this as it is shown here
    https://prnt.sc/uw0g2e

It is very complex, sorry… What do you think, because I m’ not sure at all it will allow to show EAN on the final file here
    https://editionslalchimiste.com/wp-content/uploads/rex-feed/feed-48829.xml

    Thank you

    (@sultan00rextheme)

Hi, does BodyCommerce store the ISBN13 in any field in the backend? If so, right-click on that fields and Inspect Element. Take a screenshot of the element and give it to me. Then I might be able to identify the field name you need to look for.

Meanwhile, if it’s too difficult for you to include an ISBN to your products, then you may rather remove the Brand, MPN, and GTIN attribute, and add a new attribute called Identifier exits with a value Identifier Exists Calculator. (see image)

Also, I noticed you didn’t assign a value for Google Product Category. If all of your products are books, then you can assign a static value to it with the category code 784 (which is the cateogry Media > Books).

    Thanks.
