[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] NextGEN Smooth Menu Plugin in Header?

  • I am currently using the NextGEN Gallery plugin along with the NextGEN Smooth Gallery plugin. I am trying to use the Smooth Gallery in my page header. I have tried using the following in the header.php template.

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[smooth=id:1;]'); ?>

    When I use only the shortcode in a page or post it will display the gallery, however using the above it will only display the text: [ smooth=id:1; ];

    I’m not sure what I might be doing wrong. Any insight would be great.
