We’re launching our startup in few weeks and we have an important problema using your awesome plugin.

If we connect with Analytics or Tag Manager using only Complianz, the plugin works correctly and blocks it correctly.

If we want to have both services at the same time is where we’ve the problem. Complianz only manages Analytics or Tag Manager but not both at the same time (and we need both running at the same time due that we integrate tag manager with FP pixel).

We’ve tried lot of combinations using other plugins like with Google Site Kit (with one or both services), using other plugins like “Google Tag Manager for WordPress”. During the wizard detects them correctly but the final result is the same:
“Complianz is not blocking those cookies” from the external plugins.

We’ve read several posts and tips from you but not making work correctly. Can you help us to make it work? Could be a bug from your plugin?

    Thanks in advance!
    David

    Hi @davidir David,

As I understand, you will not add Analytics as a tag in Tag Manager to proceed with just one?

You can add Analytics outside of Complianz and Tag Manager, but it depends on when you find the script to fire (on which category).

    You can add/change classes to the script tags;

    <script class="type/javascript" class="cmplz-native"></script> // Functional
    <script class="type/plain" class="cmplz-stats"></script> // Statistics
    <script class="type/plain" class="cmplz-script"></script> // Marketing

    More information: https://complianz.io/adding-global-site-tag-gtag-js-with-granular-consent/

    Hope this helps,

    regards Aert

We applied your solution and it’s working now.

Do you have in your roadmap to change this to have something more estable due to be more flexible for not to force to customize the code from a plugin or moving to embed the code in the theme?

    Regards,

    David

    Hi @davidir,

It’s rare for Tag Manager to work besides Analytics, as Analytics can be integrated with Tag Manager, which is more efficient in my opinion. (When using Tag Manager)

We will update our gtag.js structure soon, which might help a bit.

You can always put the code in our script center as well, but I reckoned you wanted to change a current embedded script,

    Thanks,

    regards Aert
