Plugin for a media library that is embedded in the site

I am looking for a video/audio player plugin that will work with WP 2.9.1 that will allow me to embed video files into my site. However, the catch is that I want the embedded player to play any of the files in my media library at any time.

Let me try to explain what I want. I have a site that has hundreds of audio and video files that I would like to categorize in a media archive page, sorted by topic or date, etc. Then, if I click on one of the files an embedded video player pops up and plays the file. My goal is that no matter what file in my media library someone clicks on, the same thing will happen. I’ve tried numerous plugins, but to no avail.

What I do not want is people downloading my videos or audio files.
