Description not visible

I am trying to set up a custom product page. So far I only added the [wps_products] shortcode. The products are showing, but the descriptions are missing. It shows title, image, price and the buy button.
When I try adding the [wps_products_description] shortcode it correctly shows the descriptions. What do I miss here?

Descriptions are hidden by default. You can turn them on by adding the
excludesattribute, like this:[wps_products excludes="false"]Let me know if this helps!
