  • I found the problem.
I had to activate it to come to the Woocommers products page and synchronize the products. I also uploaded facebook pixels to the data source. It works fine right now.

    Hey @abouelfab

Thanks for contacting us about Facebook for WooCommerce! Sorry to hear our plugin is giving you trouble. I am happy to help out ??

When you try to connect to Facebook with the latest version of the plugin, can you please let me know what error message you are receiving? If you can provide a screenshot, that would be helpful as well!

    Cheers,
    Steve

Hi @skyvergesteve, thank you for your quick reply.

    Error:
    Oops, something went wrong.
This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.

    Hey @abouelfab,

There are a few things that we can look at that may help with this issue. Can you please check the following:

    • Your pixel, catalog, and Facebook extension must all be under the same Business Manager account.
    • Your site’s timezone setting must be set to something other than UTC+0 (WordPress > Settings > General)
    • Your site’s currency must be supported by Facebook. If it is not, temporarily switch to a supported currency and attempt to connect.

Can you please check that the above three items are all correct for your site and if they help to get you connected?

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Hi @skyvergesteve,

1st point checked, for the 2nd we changed from UTC+0 to UTC+3, 3rd one is supported but also we cannot switch because we have currency switcher and it will change prices live.

    Unfortunately, still same error.

    Best,

Hello. I have the same problem. I have solved all the points. Please, help.

    Hey @abouelfab @samtulana

We sometimes see this issue come up when there are non-ASCII characters in the page title. I took a look and noted that there are some non-ASCII characters in the title of the site. This data gets saved to Facebook in a field called wc_facebook_external_business_id and we will want to change this to see if it allows your connection to Facebook to complete successfully.

There is a method to change this within the site itself, so let’s start by trying out the steps to change this to see if it helps:

    • Go to https://www.YOURSITNAME.com/wp-admin/options.php
    • Search for wc_facebook_external_business_id
    • In the field next to it, change the data in that field to just the basic title of the page without any extra characters in place.
    • Scroll to the bottom of this page and click Save Changes.
    • In some cases, the data may not be saved due to larger databases and / or PHP settings, so after saving this, locate the wc_facebook_external_business_id field again and verify that the changes in place did save.

Once you have checked this, can you please try to connect to Facebook again and let me know if you get any further in the connection process?

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Hey @samtulana @rekordev @marmarisweb2 @dimaxwine

Thanks for reaching out about the plugin. I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue as well. Although you are seeing the same error message and having a similar experience with Facebook, it may or may not be the same issue, I’m afraid.

Since you’re not the person who originally started this topic then, per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic? We’ll be more than happy to help there ??

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Hey @abouelfab ,

It is not showing on the options.php page? Are you familiar with working with the database for WordPress? If so, it can also be found / changed there as well. Can you please let me know if you know how to edit the database? I can then hep you find the data there to change.

    Cheers,
    Steve
