“B2C Only”-setting not respected, B2C cannot use Billing option
-
Hello.
We sell B2C, and have set the customer type to “B2C ONLY” in the plugin settings.
However, after the latest update, our customers are now asked to input a company org. no when they select the Billing (Faktura) payment option.
Nets customer service tells me this is because the Company Name field is filled out. This is true, because we are using this native WC field as part of our customer checkout data. This does not automatically mean that the user wants to be billed to his/hers company, especially since the before-mentioned settings are set to “Private customers only”. If we had selected “B2B only”, this behavior would be great, but this is not the case.
Nets support told me to “just remove the Company field or rename it or change it to a different field type”. Editing core WooCommerce functionality or fields like this is a terrible suggestion, as this is often used by other plugins or parts of the site.
So our only option is to have our developers change the way we use the Company Field, which would be very costly, as this is deeply integrated into several aspects of our shop and order workflow.
Our customer base prefer the Billing option, and right now they have no way of using it and this is costing us sales every single day.
So please, quickly, do you have a snippet I can insert somewhere to make it work again?
