• Hi,

    I’ve uploaded the following Plugins:
    All In One SEO
    Get The Image
    Hits IE6 PNG Fix
    Maintenance Mode
    NextGen Gallery
    Top Level Categories

As you can see, that’s not a massive amount, but what happens is that when uploaded and activated, on the Dashboard the WP News and Plugins drops downs don’t load. I can live with that…although it points towards an error.

However, what’s crucial is that NextGen won’t produce thumbnails due to a 500 internal error and I’ve tried to upload WP-Events and cForms but when I activate one of them I get the 500 Internal Error.

Can anyone help me please? I deactivated all my plugins and then found I could active cForms (for example). So it’s as if it has something to do with too many plugins or a conflict? My PHP Memory is 40MB and I’m using MySQL 5.

    Thanks!
    Matt

  • I doubt that it’s being caused by too many plugins. I’ve seen sites running far more without collapsing. It could be that one of the plugins isn’t compatible with 2.9.1. Or is conflicting in some way. Try re-activate the plugins one by one to see if you can find the problematic plugin(s).

if “NextGen won’t produce thumbnails due to a 500 internal error” maybe you have GD library off on your server? you can ask your hosting company.

    Ok,
I’ve now installed and uninstalled various plugins. One plugin, irrelevant of what it is, seems to be able to cause issues like the Plugin RSS on the Dashboard to not work.

I’ve now got 12 plugins running, all compatible with 2.9.1. However I can’t click on Pages or Media. If I do I get the 500 error. If I remove a plugin (for example ‘Simply Exclude’), I can access Pages, but when I update a page I get the 500 error.

This is seriously destroying what I can do. PLEASE can someone help :'(

    Thanks!
    Matt
