Calling a plugin function in the sidebar?

That depends on the plugin. Sometimes I’ve just called a specific plugin function directly in sidebar.php.

The plugin is actually WordPress Directory Pro, which creates a directory on a selected page, see here: https://feedmelah.insidethebox.com.my/restaurants/

The drop down list works fine here.

But when I take the same code and put it in the sidebar, none of the functions activate, giving a blank drop-down list, see here:

Any suggestions to activate the functions that i’ve placed in my sidebar?
