• The new update, 4.4.1 shows the syntax highlighter in Gutenberg over the full width and not inline anymore with the rest of the editor.

    The max-width:100% should be removed from the Class : div[data-type=”enlighter/codeblock”]

    it’s the intended behaviour. you can use some custom css to set it to another value

    Eh sorry to say, but how can this be an intended behavior? It isn’t inline with the frontend and not inline with your editor. So when you are reading your text, suddenly your eyes need to jump 10cm to the left to read the code.

    Sorry, I really like this plugin (and yes I will fix it with custom css), but think this over, please.

    i can add an option similar to the TinyMCE editor settings

    Sounds like a good idea. Think a lot of users won’t like the new full-width editor, so if you can make an easy switch that we can turn off, that would be a big plus!
