Database Problem

    Hi there, i have used wordpress before and never come across this problem. I have uploade all the files and added the correct database name and username and password in but it will not connect to my database i just keep getting the same message saying they are wrong and when i go to the site adress i get the same message saying “Error establishing a database connection”. Any ideas?

  • You mention three of the four database connection values that you need, so what about the DB_HOST value? Are you sure that one is correct?

    I have used localhost as normal

    That only works if your MySql server and your http server are on the same machine. That often seems to be the case but, sometimes it is not. You need to check with your host to confirm the setting.
