Google Analytics 4

That’s a good question. I’d like to know the answer to that too.

We are aware that Google has been sending notices out. We don’t support the newer gtag.js as yet. Google does still support the analytics.js method for Google Analytics tracking that All in One SEO uses.

If you would prefer to switch to the newer gtag.js then we recommend using our sister plugin MonsterInsights (https://www.monsterinsights.com/) and there’s a free version available here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/.

Sadly (as far as I can tell) Google doesn’t support the old tagging system for new properties, which is where my, and I’m sure many other longtime users of the All In One SEO plugin, issue lies. (Unless anyone knows of a workaround for Google? I have to admit the big changes just got me totally flummoxed!)

However good the MonsterInsights plugin is, I’m not keen on just filling up the backend with multiple plugins – I’m pretty bad for it already! And I’m not sold on adding all that analytic functionality into the site admin area. I’d rather keep it separate.

Please release an update that supports Google Analytics 4.

Our new websites that we install Google Analytics only allows GA which All in One SEO plugin is not working to allow data. When will the plugin be updated? There is no choice other than to utilize GA now when setting up analytics on a brand new site. Thank you.

So I’m waiting, I’ve added a new page and All in seo can’t handle the new tag any more. And you can’t attach the old one to a new analytics account.
