    Hello,
    I want to ask a question about updates. What problem will occur if I do not do the updates? What would be the negative consequences of this?

    The updates I don’t want to do are not WordPress. It is also not basic plugins like Woocommerce. I’m talking about other plugins I use. For example, like the refurn plugin.

    Why don’t I want to update?
    I have to make many changes to the plugin files. Most changes are text content that I don’t translate to another language with plugins (eg Loco Translate). However, I also need to make changes to the php files. Of course, with any update these are deleted.

    Each theme, plugin or WordPress itself have changelogs,
    you can see what has been changed in each release.

    If you stop updating:

    * You miss new features
    * You miss bugfixes
    * You miss compatability updates, which can result in various problems with WordPress and other plugins/themes

    AND, the worst
    * You miss security updates.
