M.E. Calendar Today’s Date not highlighted

Hi,
I am on the 5.13 v of this plugin. If today is a day with no events, when checking (clicking on) other days you can’t return to today or even tell what is the date today.

Once I navigate to a different date, I can no longer tell what date is today (Today is not highlighted anymore)It would be helpful if today is highlighted in a different and permanent way
