• I was backing (DB/Files) up on my site this morning from my hosting backup restored. Once the backup completed. My site was down. Got a critical error and the site is down. It’s the Bridge Theme.

Before I executed the backup, I updated the theme to the latest version under the update. I also updated existing plugins. I didn’t add any PlugIn. The site was working fine before.

I checked with my hosting and they tried using different PHP and trying to back up even from a month ago, and still getting the same error.

I got the following email a short time ago, please someone help. I can’t seem to get urgent help from the Theme Author (Bridge).

    Someone please help with this.

    Thank you so much.

    My site is on:
    ==============
    WordPress version 5.5.1
    Current theme: Bridge (version 18.0.8)
    Current plugin: (version )
    PHP version 7.1.33

It sure looks like the Bridge theme is messed up. What I’d do is download a fresh copy, unzip locally, then via FTP or the file manager app of the hosting control panel, delete wp-content/themes/bridge and upload the newly unzipped version.

Because you’re using a commercial theme, please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

    Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for your insights. I really appreciate you.

If I follow your steps and reinstalled a fresh copy, will I lose my current setup or data?

I will go through your steps.

The bridge development team should fix this like you said. Do you have any direct development contact at Bridge theme or know any one on the forum from Bridge.

I will still go through your steps, though I want to make sure I don’t break my setup and get in even a deeper issue.

Thank you again for your support.

The Bridge theme is not supported here; you have the link for the support you’ve already paid for. You will not lose your setup or data.
