• hello,
I’m planning to use this plugin in a big project I work on and it’s super important to me to know that you are planning on making it premium with yearly payment so I can know that this plugin won’t be abandoned.
    tnx!

    Hi @dudurom,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m glad you are interested in using Waymark for your project. While I have certainly considered a premium version of the plugin, to date there has not been the demand.

I intend to continue to add features to the plugin when I have the time and to fix reported bugs as quickly as possible. Development of the plugin is largely driven by user input, so the amount of time I dedicate to it is proportional to how many people are using it and the feedback I receive (reviews are a BIG help!).

Please feel free to suggest both free and premium features, or any other improvements you think of.

It should be noted too that Waymark is open source, so if I ever decide to stop maintaining the project someone else could take it over.

    Cheers,

    Joe

till now I have 3 things I can use:

    1. fixing console error I get. U can see them on this page for example: https://nextop.co.il/europe/family-star-trip-to-austria-and-italy/

    2. an option for the user to navigate (using GPS) on the map.

    3. create a new map per page. right now the map is CPT. and I use it to embed it in a product. in my case, each product has a map, so it will be better to have the map created within the products edit page and not as an external post type.

I’m willing to pay yearly for a plugin I know a developer is caring about. meaning, the dev put his time and effort to make updates to the plugin and bring new features for long term. so i can use it with confident for big projects.

Thanks. I will look in to this, I see the error and understand the cause, but am having some trouble replicating it on my end.

    2. an option for the user to navigate (using GPS) on the map.

Please can you expand on this? Currently there is a locate icon displayed on the Map, which if pressed (and permission is given) will show the user’s location.

An interesting idea, I will think more on this.

Also thanks for the review ??

This kind of turn-by-turn navigation is certainly possible, but would be a massive amount of work to implement. This is a good example of a premium feature, so I’ll add it to the list for the future.

    Cheers,

    Joe
