Should I have to install Site Kit by Google on my WordPress site?
Because we upgraded Google Analytics Universal to Google Analytics 4 latest version creating a new Tag with Measurement id to collect data from Google Analytics Universal and Google Tag Manager…
After that, we have just added Google Tag Manager code manually to our website and now data shows in both, Google Analytics Universal and Google Analytics 4 with one GTM code.
So still Site Kit by Google is recommended?
    Thank you

  • @softfully thanks for your inquiry!

You can still use Site Kit along with Google Analytics 4. Please reference this announcement that provides the Tag Manager method as (like you are using) an option to implement the Google Analytics 4 ID along with the Universal Analytics ID (which can either be inserted using Site Kit’s snippet or another method).

At the current moment, Site Kit will surface your Universal Analytics data in its dashboards (along with the other services it helps connect). There are plans to integrate with Google Analytics 4. Please follow this Github issue for updates.
