• The plugin works pretty well, it’s missing a couple of features that I would have thought should be in it, but the low star rating is because you pretty much have to uninstall it and re-install it again when updates are available. And this is for no other reason than trying to sell pro version. And, even when you DO buy a licence, you have to use the horrible envato system. Occasionally, the tables corrupt and rather than letting you make changes to try and repair it, the table becomes completely inaccessible! TOP TIP: Duplicate your tables BEFORE you make any changes to them, just in case you have to instate your back up as the live table.

There you go WPDatatables, your plugin kept nagging me to review, so there it is!

Hi there, thank you for your honest review.

Would you, please, explain what you mean by these points?

    • you pretty much have to uninstall it and re-install it again when updates are available
    • even when you DO buy a licence, you have to use the horrible envato system
    • Occasionally, the tables corrupt and rather than letting you make changes to try and repair it, the table becomes completely inaccessible

If you have an Envato license, you can activate it through the Envato API, but because that API is limited to 3 requests per second, it needs to be done a few times before it actually works. If you have a license from our store, activating it is simply copy/paste/activate. Either way – with an active license, you would be able to update the plugin through the Plugins section.

If the license kept deactivating, you should’ve reached out to our support staff, who would gladly inspect the issue and resolve it for you.

Tables that break (become corrupt, as you say) are probably tables linked to an existing data source, and you modified the source’s structure, or you’ve applied a wrong filter for a specific column-type.

Almost every table that breaks can be restored with the help of our support agents, and they would also explain why it happened, so you know not to make the same mistake again.

If you would like to discuss this further, please open a ticket on our official support platform and we will gladly help you with any issues you may have.

As for the “review banner” not going away – our development team is aware of that issue, and it will be resolved in our next update. If you need that fixed right away, we can also help you with that if you open a ticket.

    Kind regards.
